

A Message From Our Executive Chef Michael Truss and Sous Chef Jakub Gorgan
How can you summarize Wrapsody Bistro's unique food experience? Simple, Local Farm Fresh quality ingredients prepared in "age old" tradition with Modern American Influence.
Executive Chef Mike Truss designed every item on the menu with this philosophy and passion as top priority. Throughout his career he has personally set his own standard of purchasing at least 60% of the menu from within 100 miles of where the cooking takes place. The bond between Farmer and Chef has slowly lost value over the course of time due to huge corporate suppliers catering to the convenience and growing demand for processed, ready-made chain restaurant foods. Not at Wrapsody Bistro, Chef Truss and staff prepare everything in-house from scratch, using the freshest quality ingredients available for results you can truly taste.
Our beef is raised locally at Four Mile River Farm in South Lyme, Ct. It is free range Black Angus Cattle both grain and grass fed, hormone and steroid free for an amazing flavor unparalleled by any! Our squid for our signature calamari is harvested outside of Point Judith, Rhode Island and in our opinion is the best you can find in the U.S. Our duck is raised at Labelle Farms, located to our west in the Hudson Valley of N.Y. The massive Sea Scallops we serve are proudly harvested off the coast of Stonington, C.T. (when available). And the remaining seafood on our menu is hand selected daily on the docks of the N.Y. and Boston fish markets by Gulf Shrimp of Southington, CT. Cheeses to look for in the near future will include Cato's Corner Farm in Colchester as well as Beltane Farms in Lebanon, both C.T. farmers. Our bread for tables is delivered daily from The Arthur Avenue Baking Company, Bronx N.Y. As New England seasons permit, a majority of our produce will be purchased this growing season, from a number C.T. Grown farmers including; Star Lite Gardens (Durham), Karabin Farms (Southington), and many more.

Be sure to try our signature dishes listed above and keep your eye and palate open for the smaller recipes that we pride ourselves for as well. Some examples are: our housemade grilled lunch wraps, signature hand rolled fresh pastas, aioli (homemade mayo), Demi Glace, all sauces and salad dressings, every soup ever offered, hand cut American Fries and every dessert on the menu.
